…SPORTS CHOREOGRAPHER!

Running coach, Football coach, Fitness coach, Movement coach… there are a hundred names we get called in our field, but the term sports choreographer prevails.

A sports choreographer specializes in ensuring the accurate representation and execution of athletic movements, techniques, and performances in media, film, commercials, and live productions. We collaborate with creative teams, directors, and athletes to choreograph realistic sports sequences, provide expert advice on authenticity, and ensure that all sports-related elements align with the project’s vision while maintaining credibility and precision.

THE START

My journey began in Track and field where I started training in what I thought it was just another sport to learn about and get in shape with. A day-by-day challenge that one day brought me an opportunity to get into the advertising industry as a sports model.

The more I discovered, the more I realized I had been always attached to high performance sports, changing my perspective from just loving it to breathing it.

And so, these two became my fuel to pursue a career as a professional actor/model and obtain a Sports Science Degree in the University of Barcelona.

the grind

The rewards started showing up in the form of improved effort and discipline skills, as well as multiple regional and national titles in the 100m and 200m sprints, along with the expertise I’ve reached throughout my sports studies.

And it is in Barcelona where I also grew up, being this the place where my Spanish mother met my father original from Cameroon. What a cool mix huh?

Of course, I could be talking about the challenges I’ve faced because of it, but those pale in comparison to the richness I’ve gained in terms of culture and knowledge.

THE ROOTS

That along with the ability to pick up languages with ease, allowing me to speak Spanish, Catalan, English, French, and now diving into Japanese.

With my entire life deeply rooted in sports, an opportunity arose when I found myself directing one of the sports campaigns I had starred in.

In front of me, a perfect role emerged that showcased every skill I had developed through years of hard work, seamlessly blending the two fields I had poured my energy into.

It was then that I discovered how all those years in front of the camera—competing as a professional athlete and earning my sports degree—were naturally leading me to take on a crucial role in the sports production field.

Now, after more than a decade on both sides of the camera for some of the most renowned brands, I look forward to making my mark in the sports choreography scene and building a name for myself.
